To those who stopped by to check out my blog, thank you very much. I have been bogged down with my work, another new blog and lots of unexpected incidents that took up a huge amount of my time. Hence, this blog has not been updated for the last couple of days. 

To those who came to check on the winner of the Father’s Day Contest, please accept my apology for the delay. I had posted the original closing date as 09/06/2007 thinking that Father’s Day falls on 10/06/2007*slaps head* I shall be announcing the result a week late from the original date, meaning it will be out on 16/06/2007. I’ve just ordered a custom designed header as I needed a more appropriate one that matches the theme of my blog. The earlier one was ok, considering it was FREE. I was surfing the net for web designers and stumbled upon this site www.go4templates.com. I love the designs of their templates and naturally, checked out their banner design offers.

Actually, the price range that the website quoted was totally out of my budget but nevertheless, I dropped them an email. After corresponding a couple of times, Kundan, the designer and owner of the company actually agreed to design one for me which was priced within my budget. Has anyone downloaded WordPress 2.2 yet? I know it’s out with many awesome features and some of which I am dieing to have.

However, I dare not upgrade yet as I read from John Chow’s blog (the dot com mogul) who upgraded and realized that the alignment on his template was out due to bugs. After that, he switched back to the older WP version. Being totally lost about tech stuff, I’d better not take the risk

I changed it again because I hated the colour on the last one. I’m still experimenting with the header to find the best suitable one. At least now, I can give myself a pat on the back for being able to make changes to this blog. If I don’t praise myself, who else will motivate me, right?

Last night, I did some blog hopping and stumbled on 5xMom’s Women Only blog. Gosh, I was quite taken by surprise. Firstly, she is using the same template as this blog but so are everyone else who signed up with the same webhost. What caught me off guard was the fact that her blog also focuses on beauty, fashion, etc.

I always visit 5xMom‘s blog but this was my first time to this blog of hers. Being the celebrity that she is, I am a bit concerned that people might say that I have copy cat her blog. Afterall, I’m just a small time blogger and she is the famous one. Honestly, I did not intend to have such similarity in terms of blog presentation and topics. I confessed that 5xMom is an inspiration to many and I started doing paid posting due to her very positive feedback through her articles on her blog. So, how could I even consider copying her work?

Anyway, now that I have put this down in writing, I feel much better. Until I managed to conquer CSS editing, my blog presentation shall remain as it is. What can a tech idiot do? *Sigh*

Ok, I confessed, I lurk John Chow’s blog. That was how I stumbled upon his linkbait project and the very reason I am doing his blog review for FREE.

John Chow dot Com is a blog which offers many tips on how to make money online. I find many of his posts very informative and helpful to a tech idiot like me. Apart from money making articles, he also blogs about cars and his family which can be quite refreshing as compared to other similar sites.
