Cheer For Cher At Caesar’s Palace

Wednesday 2 April 2008 @ 1:13 pm

8b392d0b-28af-430c-aec2-7d60bf45a85fwidec.jpgCHER RETURNS !!  Oh, how I heart this pop diva. A chart topping singer, television star, Academy award winner, a disco diva, rock’n'roller and a fashion icon, Cher had an amazing career which spanned over 4 decades. During my younger days, Cher had rocked my world with her amazing songs “If I Could Turn Back Time“, ”Just Like Jesse James” and  ”The Shoop Shoop Song“.  Heck, I even bought her album ”Living Proof” back in Year 2002 when she announced that she was stepping down from the live circuit.

I may not be her Number One fan but it would certainly be awesome to see her perform Live. Now, die hard fans of Cher will be able to catch her return to the stage at The Colosseum, Caesars Palace, Las Vegas. Her brand new show will debut on May 6th and feature 18 dancers and aerialists, fabulous new Bob Mackie costumes, dazzling video and special effects.   The comeback will see the 61 year old veteran pop star perform at the glitzy venue four times a week at 7.30pm.

Hurry, get your Cher Tickets at Caesars Palace and catch the extravaganza before the tickets run out! Now, Cher will give you a reason to believe you can turn back time.

Mydish Online Cookbook

Thursday 22 November 2007 @ 7:51 pm

pasta.jpgMany of you know that I am not a good cook. I admit, I am not a creative person and can only come up with a few standard dishes. That was before I discovered Mydish.

I was actually surfing for some simple recipes when I stumbled upon Mydish,  a website that lets you store and share homemade family recipes. I call it the ultimate online cookbook as it is simple to use and lets me search for recipes quite easily. For those who are good cooks, you can add your recipes, organise them in folders, add photographs and even dedicate a recipe to a special person in your life.

As for me, whenever I run out of ideas to cook, I just click on Mydish’s “Recipe Generator” and search for the menu that’s suitable for me. The Pasta Amatricana (pictured above) is one simple dish that I had whipped up by following the recipe on Mydish. Mydish is free to join and that’s one of the reason I’ve recommended the site. Check it out for yourself.

Unfair Practice

Monday 3 September 2007 @ 10:47 pm

I have to be honest and admit that I love shopping by using my credit cards. However, there are still some merchant out there who gives the false impression that they accept purchases made via credit cards by displaying the Master or Visa credit card stickers on their door or window display but when customers want to make purchases using the card, they will either impose a certain fee or a minimum purchase amount. I just hate to shop at such outlets.

In all fairness, if these shopping outlets already decided to accept credit cards online, they should not include any other conditions. Personally for me, if I ever encounter such instances, I will  make sure I never shop at that outlet again.

Askimet Spam

Saturday 25 August 2007 @ 5:02 pm

Hey guys, I’ve given up on reviewing the comments that falls under Spam. It’s exhausting to go through such a long list. I just deleted 200+ spam comments yesterday and when I checked again today, I’ve got 100+ in the list.

So, from now on, I’m just gonna delete all my spam comments daily. If you feel your comments have somehow been deleted by me, they were probably caught by Askimet. Rest assured I do not delete my reader’s comments unless they are “inappropriate” or contains profanity. So,  please email me in order for me to watch out for it. Thanks!

Class Reunion

Saturday 21 July 2007 @ 12:41 pm

Recently, I had attended a class reunion dinner which was organized by one of my best friends. It was a very casual affair and non of those glitz and glamour hotel gathering. Instead, we had the function near at a waterfront cafe.

Many of our classmates who we have not seen for many years showed up. A few of them had migrated overseas and one was working at a San Diego accounting firm, another a full time housewife who was taking up distance learning in photography and one of the top student in our class had surprised us by managing a modelling agency. Overall, it had been a wonderful tim catching up with one another and I look forward to our next gathering in 5 year’s time.

Let’s Talk Cooking Skills

Thursday 12 July 2007 @ 9:35 pm

I was browsing this site http://www.tca.edu/ and thought how nice it would be if I could enroll myself to improve my cooking skills. Can you imagine me playing the role of a wifey with a culinary degree? Lol.

I confessed, I’m not a great cook but I’m not a lousy one either. I can cook a decent meal but I’m not the creative type of wifey who can come up with different menus almost every day. They say the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, so it had me thinking. After a long thought, as in one minute, I decided “Nah, not me!”.

Sunday 8 July 2007 @ 6:53 pm

To whose who have repeatedly come back to visit, I sincerely must apologize for the lack of post. My freelancing work has given me more challenges than I expected and I spend most of my free time managing that blog. There are simpy 1,001 and more things to do.

To top that, I have just returned from a short business trip and going on another one next week. So, it is a mad mad world to me at this point of time. I soooo wish I have more than 24 hours per day.

Before I forget, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to Angeleyes who has promoted my “Officially An Editor” post. She is truly a wonderful and supportive buddy.

Anyway, this is just a short post to keep you guys updated and hopefully, I will be able to juggle my time better next week. Thanks for visiting.
