<p style="text-align: justify;">Alcohol can elevate the level of certain hormones which have been linked to hormone-receptor-positive breast cancer.  Evidence shows that between women who don’t drink at all and women who have a few drinks throughout the week, the women who drink are 15% more likely to contract breast cancer.  Making interesting non-alcoholic beverages and swapping beers for the alcohol free versions will go a long way to reducing the risk of breast cancer.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Eat healthily and exercise</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Women who are overweight are more likely to suffer from breast cancer because of the heightened levels of estragon produced by the fat cells in the body.  Regular exercise, even if it is walking round the park once a day will help women stay fit and healthy and keep their weight down.  A good diet is important for many reasons.  30-40% of breast cancer cases are linked to unhealthy diets and whilst simply eating correctly alone will not cure or stop breast cancer from developing, the vitamins and minerals found in healthy foods will act to boost the immune system and help the body combat any unwanted diseases.</p>
<p><strong>Keep vitamin D levels high</strong></p>
<p>Vitamin D helps the body in various ways including boosting the immune system.  The sun is the best source of Vitamin D but because of the risks of skin cancer, it is advisable to wear protection.  15 minutes a day, three times a week is thought be sufficient sun exposure to keep Vitamin D levels healthy.  However women need to be sensible, as 15 minutes at the height of the suns strength is ample time to be burnt.  Women may choose to eat vitamin rich foods or take supplements on their doctor’s advice.</p>
