I’ve never really been a fan of football but the hubby and many of my friends are avid fans of the sport. However, being an apparel fan, it is interesting to note that how the modern football uniform has evolved.

Today’s football uniforms are remarkably different than those from 5 or 10 years ago. You can distinctively notice the difference by just watching a “classic” college game on ESPN from the 90′s and compare the uniforms to those worn by today’s collegiate players. The old plain blue jersey with white numbers and plain white shorts are replaced by the following custom football uniform:

• Functional, more comfortable fabrics.
• Full length jerseys that tuck into the pants.
• Tapered, form fitting patterns.
• “Lineman’s Cut” jerseys that “hug” the body and arms.
• Contrasting side and/or shoulder inserts.
• Matching inserts on the pants.
• Choice of sleeve length with or without rib cuffs.
• Multi-color graphics, numbers, and neck plackets.

Football uniforms nowadays are also given the modern look in terms of decorations.  Regulations require that numbers, of a certain size, be applied to the front and back. It is a norm to see team name, player’s name, shoulder or “TV” numbers, sleeve stripes as well as sewn-on neck plackets added to the jerseys. Pants on the other hand, are generally decorated on the upper left or right leg. With so much emphasize on decorations, it certainly cannot be denied that football uniforms have gradually become fashionable too!

1. He’s not a handyman at home. Most people’s hubby can do a little bit of electrical or plumbing works if required but my hub is as blur as me in this area.

2. He’s hopeless with computers. Basic stuff like log in, log out and navigation where required is ok. Otherwise, a total tech idiot, worse than me!!!

3. He usually has stupid questions when I cook. You knowlah, I’m not a good cook so hypersensitive in this area. Questions like “Eh, have to put this meh, not that meh?“ just do not turn me on *duh* I think he’s scared he’ll die of food poisoning because of my cooking *quickly jots down idea*

4. When he’s sick, he is such a baby but when I’m sick, I cannot be a baby. No explanation needed here.

5. When driving and he gets annoyed, he will speed in anger, even if the kids are in the car. Sheesh!

6. Sometimes he makes stupid commitments without consulting me, like buying a house for investment!!! Now, we are stuck with another Housing Loan commitment. Irritated or not you say?

I believe that’s all I can think of right now. Otherwise, I’ll probably wonder why I chose the chap of all guys. I’ll edit and add some more when my flash back happens

This one I must warn you guys, has high cholesterol. Ingredients includes bean sprouts, prawns, beehoon, eggs, chicken and of course, the yummy yummy soup which is the OOMPH! I normally forgo the bean sprouts as I hate the taste. Add this with belacan and lime, it can really taste like ”To Die For“.

Do you believe in online or virtual friendship? How realistic do you think they are?

Being an introvert, I am one who likes to hide behind my cloak of annonymity. At least, part annonymous to some :) Though I must admit that I have extended my friendship to some bloggers beyond what I would categorize as virtual friendship. Having said that, I have not actually met up with any bloggers in person. Yep, I do admit I am a little afraid.

In the blogosphere, we may project our image at the very surface only and not the total package that we come in. So, through blogs, there may be a pre-conceived perception of that blogger in real life. However, when we meet up, the expectation might not be met and hence, the real life friendship might not materialize.

While I acknowledged that many real life friendship and even romance have blossomed through virtual relationship, should a line be drawn here? What’s your take on this?
