Sharing of Shopping Tips

It’s been some time since I did a tag on this blog but this is one I’ll truly enjoy putting up here. Thanks to Angeleyes, I got the opportunity to write about my shopping tips. Most of them are already shared by the links posted in the list below but I’ll add mine anyway ;)

Whenever I have the intention to spend on something more extravagant like cosmetics, I’ll make sure I wait till the SALE period. During this time, apart from getting cash vouchers, I can get free miniature cosmetic gifts as well. If you really study the items and sizes, the value for the gift sets are really worth the buy.

I have built a good relationship with the salesgirls of the cosmetic counter that I frequent so, despite buying items $10 or $15 below the amount to be eligible for the gifts, they will normally give it to me. On top of that if the promo says I will be eligible for the gifts if I spend X amount but I actually spent X+ amount, I will ask for extra items and they have no issues giving them to me. Now, you can call me evil but that’s what I call relationship building!

That’s my simple tip. Let’s hear from the others! The recipients of this tag will need to do the following:

It’s very simple. When you receive this tag, copy the whole list and add your own shopping tip to the bottom and pass it on.

  1. Wear comfy clothing when you’re shopping. You don’t wanna fuss with too many laces and buttons when you’re trying clothes on. http://rinnah-marketplace.blogspot.com
  2. Choose stores offering some kind of reward program, e.g. purchase points, rebates or store coupons. Knowing how the program works and when to use them will save you a lot of money in the long run. http://kakishopping.giddytigers.com
  3. Always ask for a discount or bargain, especially when you pay cash for big purchase like furniture and electrical items, you will be surprised how much lesser you have to pay. http://leahschrader.com
  4. Buy in bulk or from the hypermarket. Hypermarket like Giant and Tesco has greater offer than places like Jusco or Parkson. (I’m referring to household stuffs) http://montessorimum.com
  5. Check for reviews on items you want to buy so you don’t end up buying the wrong thing or something that you don’t need. Also check on latest promo through catalogues or phamplets to get the best-best-best price or buy. http://www.ramblingmoo.com
  6. Buy cosmetics during SALE time where you get cash vouchers and free gifts. Why pay retail price without added benefit when you can get extra perks? http://www.mylilventure.com
