Can Man & Woman Have Platonic Relationship?

What do you think? Can men and women have platonic relationships? My answer is it depends on individuals. I have a male friend whom I’ve known for more than 6 years, we remember each other’s birthdays and there’s always a birthday present on our birthdays but we don’t share our deepest darkest secret. We’ve remained good friends through my married life and his bachelor days to his current “attached” status.

So, what’s your take on this? Please vote via the poll below. This polling system is inspired by Chris. Thanks, ya!

I voted for “Maybe” ’cause I don’t really believe in platonic relationship… but there are exceptions….maybe one or two out of 1,000,000?

Ever since we emigrated I’ve found that I get along much better with guys than girls. In fact still the majority of my good friends are male. They’re generally a lot more straight forward and less back-stabby, at least in my experience.

I have many men friends who are just that: friends who happen to be men. The closeness of the relationships varies, but none of them are intimate in nature. There are a couple of them who are close enough that I can discuss “anything” with them, just as I would with a close woman friend.

I have more men friends than female friends and I still keep contact with some of them now. We are those ‘can talk anything under the sun’ kind of relationship. Luckily my PB don’t mind… :P

I believe that it can work especially if the two are honest with each other; knowing the consequences by not crossing the line and not willing to suffer the consequences.
